The Hitman series, which was planned for the Hulu streaming service, has been officially canceled and is no longer in development. This was announced by the creator of the "John Wick" franchise, Derek Kolstad, who served as executive producer and screenwriter of the project.
According to Kolstad, the fate of the series has actually been decided. In an interview with The Direct, he admitted that the news was painful for him.

Development of the series began back in 2017, although the project was first talked about almost nine years ago. At that time, Hulu hoped to turn the adaptation of the popular game series into one of the platform's flagship projects. Kolstad even wrote a pilot episode, but production did not progress beyond the script.
I love this game and this character. But the problem is that writing a script is not enough — you still need to make a movie or series. And no one is in a hurry to do this.
