The final scene of Resident Evil Requiem launched a wave of speculation about who Leon Kennedy actually decided to tie his life to. There aren't that many versions — Ada Wong or Claire Redfield — but Capcom is in no hurry to give a definite answer.
Journalists decided to turn to the project's game director, Koshi Nakanishi, directly, asking him to clarify, but he also decided to keep the intrigue.
At the same time, Nakanishi-san noted that the answer to this question will become known later, but for now the developers wanted to convey a simpler thought.
According to him, the final scene symbolizes that Leon now has "a place he can call home", and players are invited to imagine his peaceful life outside of battles. The Requiem game director also emphasized that the hero remains a person who does not talk about important things out loud, but is always ready to sacrifice himself to save others.
