The editors of PlayStation.Blog have shared some new details about the upcoming sci-fi action game Pragmata.
The gameplay focuses on the interaction of two characters. Hugh uses a variety of weapons against hostile robots, but their strong armor makes ordinary shots ineffective. This is where Diana comes in with her hacking skills.
When a target is captured, a special panel opens - a grid through which you need to draw a continuous line through the blue cells. A successful hack deals damage and temporarily disables the enemy's defense. The longer the line, the stronger the effect, but the enemies do not stand still - Hugh has to dodge attacks while Diana is hacking.
Some opponents are protected by red energy shields that completely block hacking. They must first be destroyed with weapons. At the same time, certain enemies launch homing missiles that can be intercepted via hacking and sent back.
Hugh can use four types of weapons. In addition to the main one, the remaining types break after the ammunition is spent.
Special nodes add yellow cells to the hacking panel. Activating them gives bonus effects - from reducing enemy defense to spreading the hack to multiple targets. However, the resource is limited and must be used wisely.
In a safe haven, players can restore health, as well as improve equipment and weapons, using found resources.
