Stellar Blade Authors are Inspired by Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 While Working on Their New Game

Project Spirits is scheduled for release in 2027.

South Korean studio Shift Up, known for the action game Stellar Blade, is working on several projects at once. In addition to the Stellar Blade sequel, which is expected to be released on multiple platforms, the team is working on a new title called Project Spirits.

It is reported that Project Spirits will be released in 2027. At the same time, the game is allegedly directly inspired by Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

Apparently, Shift Up decided to adopt the experience of Sandfall Interactive studio by introducing a turn-based combat system into Project Spirits.

According to sources, the development of Project Spirit is not being carried out within Shift Up itself. The main part of the work is entrusted to Chinese developers, while the key Korean team is focused on the continuation of Stellar Blade. Moreover, the report notes that there is not much enthusiasm for this project within the studio.
