Ubisoft is preparing a "revolution" - new rendering in Anvil

The French publisher uses three engines at once: UbiArt, SnowDrop, and Anvil. The latter, on which the Assassin’s Creed series is built, will soon receive a major update – it is compared to the Nanite system from Unreal Engine 5.

We are talking about the new Micropolygons Rendering technology. It allows you to work with microscopic polygons, which should increase the detail of objects with a relatively moderate load on consoles and PCs.

The technology looks promising. If developers can fully master it, future Ubisoft projects will be able to significantly improve in visual quality.
