Devsisters has announced CookieRun: New World, an open-world adventure game in the CookieRun franchise, which boasts over 300 million players and over $1 billion in revenue. The release is scheduled for 2029 on consoles, PC, and mobile devices to coincide with the series' 20th anniversary.
The project is being created on Unreal Engine and is described as "the most ambitious game in the history of the franchise." The events unfold after the era of the legendary Five Heroes: players will embark on a new journey across the Cookie continent against the backdrop of the return of a mysterious darkness.
The announcement was part of the Devsisters Online Showcase presentation. It also featured CookieRun: Crumble, a casual idle RPG-style game slated for release in the second half of 2026. CookieRun: Kingdom will receive a second chapter with a storyline about a catastrophe that tears apart timelines and triggers a war between them. The update will add a new region and accelerate the release of story chapters to every two weeks, with a release scheduled for May. In April, the game will host a collaboration with K-Pop Demon Hunters.
