The authors of Escape from Tarkov are preparing to introduce a season system. Recently, the head of Battlestate Games clarified that regular PMCs and "seasonal" characters will not be placed together in raids — different queues for finding lobbies.
Then Nikita Buyanov gave several examples of features that players can expect in the "season":
[Season] will be a separate game mode for those who want to experience everything related to wipes: start from scratch with everyone and gradually move on. Seasons will have unique modifiers, such as "No Flea Market", "Open Flea Market", "Friendly Scavs", "Scav War", etc. Seasons based on lore; unique seasonal quests and stuff like that.
In addition, Escape from Tarkov players will be able to take a buff for a seasonal character or complicate the game by choosing a debuff:
Also, your seasonal character will have a set of buffs and debuffs in the style of role-playing games, which you choose before the start of the season (you can make it really hardcore for yourself personally, while getting good bonuses for it).
