Ryan Gosling has confirmed that he discussed the possibility of playing Ghost Rider with Marvel Studios. The actor spoke about this on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, clarifying that negotiations had already taken place, but the process remains far from complete. According to him, the situation is "complicated" and "uncertain," but he has not lost hope and interest in the role.
Gosling's interest in the character arose back in 2022, when the actor publicly stated his desire to play Johnny Blaze — a biker who made a deal with the devil and became possessed by the spirit of vengeance. At the time, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige responded positively to the idea, noting that he would like to find a place for Gosling in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Since then, the Ghost Rider project has not received an official announcement, although the character has long been discussed as a candidate for appearing in future projects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
