The manager doesn't understand why anyone "caves" to a bunch of disgruntled people online.
Recently, players in Crimson Desert noticed that AI art made it into the release version. The developers quickly apologized for using AI, which one well-known manager didn't like at all.
Former Blizzard president Mike Ybarra decided to share his vision on social media:
What is there to apologize for? AI in one form or another will be in every video game. I don't understand why developers are caving to a bunch of people who can't accept reality: AI will be in everything - from video games to your refrigerator (it's already there). Get a grip.
One of the participants in the discussion decided to jab Ybarra with the words "Glad you're not running Blizzard."
To which Mike replied: "I hope you will enjoy the AI Co-pilot in World of Warcraft" - hinting that now Microsoft is in charge of everything and will promote AI technologies in games.
