The developers will add a new character to the game and more.
The authors of Guilty Gear Strive spoke about the future of the fighting game during the Arc World Tour 2025–2026 Finals. The launch of update 2.0 and the fifth season is scheduled for April 9:
In version 2.00, players can expect large-scale changes to the balance of the combat system, new special moves for some characters, and the introduction of a new "Counter Blitz" mechanic.
The game will also add a "Blazing Pass" reward system.
Season Pass 5 will include four characters — Jam Kuradoberi will appear on April 9:
Robo-Ky is expected to be released in the summer, the other two characters have not yet been revealed:
