According to the page of a former Grand Theft Auto VI graphics programmer who worked at Rockstar from February 2020 to April 2023, the upcoming game will feature a "next-generation procedurally destructible glass" technology. It is claimed to have been applied to vehicles and game objects, which could significantly increase the level of realism of destruction in the game.
In addition, the developer was responsible for creating tools to record in-game video with additional details obtained directly from the rendering system.
Notably, shortly after the information became public, all mentions of specific technologies were removed from the profile. It only contained a general reference to working on GTA 6 for more than three years. This may be due to a non-disclosure agreement, which is expected to be mandatory for Rockstar employees.
