Hardware Unboxed conducted a quality test of AMD FSR 4.1 back on March 13th. At that time, an early version of the technology that had "leaked" onto the network was examined.
Are there any differences in the final version? Hardware Unboxed reports: no – compared to the early version, almost nothing has changed in FSR 4.1. The quality analysis remains relevant.
At the same time, the editors point out AMD's problems. FSR 4 and 4.1 are only available to owners of new RX 9000 series video cards. Another disadvantage is the lack of official support for games on the Vulkan API.
"It's especially unpleasant that modders were able to provide unofficial Vulkan support in Optiscaler. For comparison, DLSS 4 has supported Vulkan since its release."
It is also emphasized that NVIDIA gives more freedom in choosing the DLSS model in games, thanks to the settings in the NVIDIA App.
