According to a preview of The Expanse: Osiris Reborn from PC Gamer, players will have to assemble a diverse team of characters with strong personalities and unique abilities. Among them is the main character's identical twin named Jay, who serves as the first mate. He is described as an impulsive but loyal ally, and his key ability will be increased accuracy.
The crew will also include Theo, a noisy and charismatic combat medic who lost his license on Earth. His ability allows him to disable enemy equipment, and in battle he uses experimental stimulants to enhance his abilities.
Other team members include Regina, a communications officer with a withdrawn personality and the same ability as Jay, as well as Polly, a young, optimistic, and talkative girl. In combat, she uses a submachine gun for suppressive fire and specializes in explosives.
The crew also includes Alisha, an electronic warfare specialist. Her ability allows her to turn enemy systems against themselves.
Rounding out the team are Michael, a gunner with experience in the UN army and private security, and Zafar, a calm and reasonable engineer capable of setting up turrets and using EM devices to disorient enemies. Their abilities are related to destroying equipment and disabling systems.
