Capcom decided to celebrate the third anniversary of the Resident Evil 4 remake in an unusual way by publishing fresh statistics. This time, attention was paid not to the players, but to one of the most memorable characters — the Merchant.
According to data based on all user transactions, the mysterious seller bought much more goods from Leon and Ada than he sold. As a result, his "debt" reached a colossal sum — 3,337,279,919,290 pesetas.
Although the exact exchange rate of the in-game currency to the dollar is difficult to determine (the peseta was replaced by the euro back in 2002), the scale is impressive. For comparison: one of the most expensive items in the game, the rocket launcher, costs 160,000 pesetas on high difficulty levels. This means that the amount of losses is equivalent to more than 20.8 million units of this weapon.
