For some fans, FNV has become the best game in the franchise.
Fallout: New Vegas has many fans who still call for an updated version of the game to be released. As it turns out, it's not just some gamers who consider this installment the best.
Artist Jonah Lobe, who worked on Fallout 3 and 4, participated in the KIWI TALKZ podcast. During the conversation, New Vegas was brought up.
Previously, he was offended when these games were compared to the Obsidian project:
We created 90% of the visuals, made the engine, coped with it in a very short time and put in a lot of effort, and all they [Obsidian] had to do was work on the story.
However, Lobe's opinion has changed over time. Now he admits that Obsidian was able to "preserve the spirit of Fallout" and coped with it "in some ways even better than we [Bethesda]".
Another artist, Nate Purkeypile, who worked on Fallout 3, 4, and 76, praised the faction system in Fallout: New Vegas, and also pointed out the weaknesses of the game:
I think [New Vegas] is a really good game, but it's weaker in some things. I don't think the dungeons and world design are as good.
