Players are scratching their heads but following the developments.

Japanese YouTube blogger Uni Yasumi has unexpectedly become a viral sensation after internet users discovered his unusual "endurance test" — he has been fighting the same boss in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice for almost 1400 days in a row.

The series of videos titled "Let’s Beat Inner Father Every Day" started back in April 2022, and at the time of writing, Uni Yasumi has reached day 1399 — with no signs of stopping.

We are talking about Inner Father — one of the most difficult bosses in the game. He is available in the "Gauntlet of Strength" mode, added after the release, and is an enhanced version of Owl. Among fans, it is considered one of the most hardcore fights in the entire game.

What exactly motivates Uni Yasumi to return to this battle every day remains a mystery. His videos contain no comments or descriptions, and even the first video in the series gives no explanation. One might assume that the goal is to improve skills, but from the very beginning, the blogger's level of play was extremely high.

Japanese fans of FromSoftware games are simultaneously admiring his perseverance and admitting that such achievements evoke almost superstitious fear in them.
