Crimson Desert developers may compromise to implement multiplayer. This was revealed in a report by the South Korean publication Yonhap News, which discloses Pearl Abyss' plans for the project's development after release.
According to company representatives, the team has already made attempts to implement a multiplayer mode. However, in the current conditions, this is associated with technical limitations. In particular, developers will have to sacrifice some graphical aspects of the game to ensure stable operation of multiplayer on available hardware.
In addition, Pearl Abyss management touched on the topic of future add-ons. Despite the fact that add-ons traditionally help increase revenue, the CEO believes that the main emphasis should be on increasing sales of the base version of the game. In his opinion, content expansion may stimulate interest in the original release without necessarily relying on paid add-ons.
