The creators of "Dandadan" presented new materials for the new adaptation of Masamune Shirow's "Ghost in the Shell."

Science SARU studio ("Dandadan") has presented the second teaser trailer and a new key visual for the anime "Ghost in the Shell," which is scheduled to premiere in July 2026.

Earlier, the creators stated that visually the new version would be closer to Masamune Shirow's original manga than previous adaptations. The new teaser offers a look at the style and designs of familiar characters, including Motoko Kusanagi and the Fuchikoma — an autonomous combat tank and one of the symbols of the franchise.

The new poster, created by character designer Shuhei Handa, also focuses on them.

As a reminder, the project is directed by Toma Kimura, known under the pseudonym Moko-chan. The script and series composition are overseen by Tow Ubukata ("Godzilla: Singular Point"), while character design and chief animation direction are handled by Shuhei Handa ("Scott Pilgrim Takes Off"). The music is composed by Taisei Iwasaki, Ryo Konishi, and Yuki Kanesaka.

In Russia, the new "Ghost in the Shell" will be released simultaneously with the Japanese release in July 2026. The screening rights were acquired by the company DEEP, and the release will take place on "Kinopoisk."
