The anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" will get a third season. The premiere of the new episodes is scheduled for October 2027.
The sequel will adapt the "Golden Land" arc — the seventh story arc of the original manga by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe.
The story will focus on Macht, one of the Seven Sages of Destruction who served the Demon King. Unlike other members of his race, he shows interest in humans and tries to study their behavior. However, his methods lead to devastating consequences: in the past, he turned an entire city into gold, which prompted the intervention of the Continental Magic Association, which sealed him away.
Along with the announcement, the authors presented the first poster with the image of Macht from the third season.
Studio Madhouse is still responsible for the production of the third season. Possible changes in the creative team have not yet been revealed.
