The creators of the pirate RPG Caribbean Legend have released a new development diary dedicated to accessibility options:
Inclusivity starts with us. With every request from players that we respond to. Therefore, from now on, we are starting to work on the accessibility of our game, and the first step will be the addition of color schemes for people with color vision impairments.
Players are also offered the opportunity to change the color scheme of the "Course Angle" (the palette will become more muted):
The "Navigation Assistance" option will allow you to enable/disable navigation arrows on the compass, showing the maximum speed relative to the wind.
The developers also talked about the "Increased Dialogue Text" option:
This setting has long been requested by SteamDeck users and simply players for whom the current size of dialogues is too small. With this setting, you can sacrifice aesthetics and increase the size of dialog boxes by 30%.
In addition, the creators of Caribbean Legend continue to improve the naval AI.
This work includes:
- Increased aggressiveness, especially in ships that attack the player themselves. Fewer cowardly pirates — and no more quest ships sailing away.
- Smarter choice of projectiles. Enemies will be smarter in choosing the distance and taking into account the percentage of charging of their guns.
- New salvo modes will be available and actively used by opponents.
- The accuracy of fire of enemy ships will noticeably increase.
