It is currently unknown whether Nintendo plans to sell the console bundled with the remake.
According to insiders, Nintendo is preparing a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo Switch 2. This was reported by well-known insider Nate the Hate, confirming earlier statements from another source — Shpeshal_Nick, who claimed back in late 2024 that the project would receive a "fairly large budget".
After confirming the information, Shpeshal_Nick added that the company also plans to release a limited edition Zelda-themed Switch 2. However, he is unsure whether the game itself will be included with the console.
It is worth noting that Zelda-themed consoles are not released very often. In September 2024, Nintendo introduced a special version of the Switch Lite in honor of the release of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, where Princess Zelda became the playable heroine for the first time in the series. Previously, there was also a Switch OLED version timed to the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
