Universal and Nintendo held the first press screenings of the animated film "Super Mario: Galactic Movie." Full reviews will appear later, but journalists are already sharing short impressions on social networks.
Part of the press met the film with enthusiasm. It is called bright and dynamic, noting the scale and abundance of references to Nintendo games. New characters are highlighted separately, including Yoshi and Fox McCloud, who steal the attention. Some compare what is happening to a revived Wii-era game.
There was some criticism. The complaints largely repeat the reaction to the first film — they talk about the uneven pace, the overload of events, and problems with the script, which seems chaotic.
Nevertheless, even skeptical viewers admit that the picture primarily works as entertainment. In reviews, it is called "fun" and "spectacular," emphasizing that fans will be satisfied.
The foreign premiere of "Super Mario: Galactic Movie" will take place on April 1, and the film will be released in Russian cinemas on April 11.
