Robert Pattinson has announced that he will begin preparing for "The Batman 2" in just a week — immediately after completing the promotional tour for the film "Damsel." This confirms Warner Bros.' plans to begin filming in the spring and indicates that the project is moving forward without significant delays.
The actor spoke about this on the French show C à vous, where he also praised the sequel's script. According to him, the text turned out "very, very good". Previously, in an interview with Deadline, Pattinson called the script "outstanding" and noted that the film would be "very special" and noticeably different from the first part.
The film is scheduled to premiere on October 1, 2027 — almost five and a half years after the release of the original. Matt Reeves remains the director of the film, and he and Mattson Tomlin wrote the script. Sebastian Stan is expected to appear in the sequel as Harvey Dent, as well as Scarlett Johansson in an unnamed role. However, Johansson's participation has not yet been officially confirmed.
