Xbox Game Studios decided to remind about the project that won in one of the categories at the last The Game Awards ceremony. Xbox finished The Game Awards 2025 with an award in the "Games that raise social issues" nomination thanks to South of Midnight.
The American publisher decided to consolidate the success and prepared a new trailer for the game created by Compulsion Games studio.
Players warmly welcomed South of Midnight. On Steam, the average rating is 94% positive reviews. The most impressive elements of the project were the music and stylized graphics, reminiscent of traditional puppet animation. These decisions more than compensate for certain gameplay shortcomings, including monotonous battles.
