Force fields will also be weakened because players are complaining about them.
Bungie has shared new details about the upcoming balance changes in the shooter Marathon. The developers plan to adjust a number of controversial mechanics that players are actively complaining about.
According to game director Joe Ziegler, the changes will be rolled out in stages: some of the fixes will appear in the next patch, and the rest about a week after that.
One of the main problems is the force fields, which are now, according to the developers, "too effective and too easy to obtain". Knives will also be adjusted - their damage scales too quickly, allowing players to effectively deal with opponents even in protected areas.
Sniper rifles will also not be ignored: Ziegler noted that they are "too strong in all situations". Additionally, the developers plan to weaken the influence of thermal scopes, which currently dominate the battlefield.
