Pre-registration for Townsmen - A Kingdom Rebuilt, a classic city-building simulator from HandyGames, has opened on Google Play.
The player has to develop a settlement from a village to a large city, build production chains, monitor the needs of residents and repel threats — from disasters to bandit raids. The game features over 150 buildings, dozens of scenarios and a sandbox mode.
The project was released on PC in 2019 and received about 80% positive feedback. In 2022, it appeared on smartphones in the Netflix Games catalog, but in the summer of 2025 it was removed along with part of the library against the background of the service's mobile strategy revision.
The smartphone version will retain the content of the original, get touch controls and support for the Russian language. The cost will be about 899 rubles, while the developers have provided free trial access.
The release date has not yet been announced. The situation with the version for the App Store remains unclear: the game page already exists, but it is marked as a project "only for Apple TV", and there is no mention of the App Store in the trailer for the mobile version at all.
