HBO has released a documentary special episode Finding Harry: The Craft Behind the Magic, dedicated to the creation of the "Harry Potter" series.

The film gives a first detailed look at the production of the new adaptation. Viewers are introduced to the key cast, shown the work with sets, practical effects, costumes and props. Special attention is paid to the casting of the main characters, through which about 32 thousand children passed.

The special episode featured actors and key team members, including Dominic McLaughlin (Harry Potter), Arabella Stanton (Hermione Granger) and Alastair Stout (Ron Weasley), as well as John Lithgow (Albus Dumbledore), Janet McTeer (Minerva McGonagall) and Paapa Essiedu (Severus Snape). The narrator was Nick Frost, who plays Rubeus Hagrid.

The "Harry Potter" series is conceived as a large-scale multi-season adaptation of the novels by Joan Rowling, where each book will be given a separate season. The first season, based on "The Philosopher's Stone", is planned to be released by Christmas 2026 — December 25.
