The highly acclaimed Canadian JRPG is now available on mobile devices.
Sea of Stars, a JRPG from Canadian Sabotage Studio, has been released on Google Play and the App Store. The game initially appeared in August 2023 on PC and consoles and quickly became one of the most notable indie releases. The project is inspired by classic 90s JRPGs and received The Game Awards and Golden Joystick Awards for "Best Indie Game" at the end of the year.
The plot tells the story of two Children of the Solstice who use the powers of the Sun and Moon to resist evil. The gameplay includes turn-based battles with timings to deflect attacks and build combos, world exploration, puzzles, mini-games, and extensive side content that complements the story campaign lasting about 50 hours.
Playdigious was responsible for the development of the mobile version. The port received a redesigned interface for touch controls, gamepad support, cloud saves, and Russian localization. The game costs $9.99, but there is a 10% discount in the first week after release, so you can buy it for $8.99. At the same time, the game cannot be officially purchased in Russia, and the cooperative mode and the Throes of the Watchmaker add-on are missing at the start.
