The release of Starfield on PS5 along with the largest free update has attracted new players.
The PS5 version is receiving high ratings. In the PlayStation Store, the average rating based on over 2200 reviews is 9.14/10 (4.57/5). A similar situation occurred previously with Avowed from Obsidian – the game was also warmly received by PlayStation users.
The Free Lanes update was released not only on PS5, but also on PC and Xbox Series X|S. It changes the system of space travel: transitions between planets have become smoother. It's not on the level of Elite Dangerous, but Bethesda initially focused on other gameplay elements.
Free Lanes also added X-Tech, new customization options for weapons, equipment, and even ships. The Terran Armada story expansion has also appeared.
Against the backdrop of the update, Starfield has once again returned to the top 10 of Steam sales, but at the time of publication of the news, it has dropped to 23rd.
