Game of Thrones: Dragonfire is a new game based on "House of the Dragon," focusing on dragons, strategy, and the struggle for power in Westeros.
Warner Bros. Games and HBO have announced a mobile game for iOS and Android. Pre-registration is already open.
This is a free-to-play strategy game where players will take on the role of descendants of Valyria and develop their own kingdom. The key mechanic is dragons: they can be raised, trained, and used in battles for control of Westeros.
The events unfold during the Targaryen house conflict, long before the original "Game of Thrones." It's about the "Dance of the Dragons" period. The game combines kingdom management, territory expansion, PvP and PvE battles, hero and dragon development, as well as political intrigues and alliances.
The initial materials indicate a familiar mobile strategy format, but with an emphasis on the atmosphere and plot of the series.
The release is scheduled for 2026. The announcement is timed to coincide with the release of the new season of the series. HBO and Warner Bros. continue to develop the Westeros brand beyond TV.
