As it became known from Tom Holland's interview with GQ magazine, published on April 8, the team of the film "Spider-Man: A New Day" returned to the set to shoot additional scenes.
According to the actor, the film is already assembled and "works as it should," but the studio decided to strengthen certain elements. In particular, it is about adding humor and refining the line of one of the villains. Holland himself calls these scenes "the cherry on top," which should make the film better.
This practice is not new for Marvel: the studio regularly returns to projects at the post-production stage to selectively strengthen certain aspects. At the same time, the reshoots do not affect the release schedule, and the premiere is still scheduled for July 31, 2026.
