Gunzilla Games has found itself at the center of a scandal following public accusations of not paying salaries to employees. According to former employees, payment delays are systemic and have been ongoing for months.
The company, which has offices in London, Frankfurt, and Kyiv, is currently developing the battle royale Off The Grid. The project is in early access and includes NFT elements, as well as various content created using generative AI.
Despite the ongoing development, a number of former employees claim that they have not received their salaries for several months. A former head of recruitment stated that he faced "significant payment delays" without clear deadlines for their repayment. According to him, the problem is "systemic," and the management—including the head of the company, Vlad Korolev, and the financial director, Taras Basarab—ignored direct appeals from employees.
A former testing engineer reported that after being fired at the end of August, he still has not received his final settlement. Other ex-employees claim that they have not received their salaries since October 2025, and some even longer. One of them admitted that he continued to work for three months without pay, hoping that the management would keep their promises to solve the problem.
According to them, in December 2025, Vlad Korolev allegedly assured employees that the studio was profitable, urged them not to publicize the problem, and to continue working, promising that the delays were temporary.
