Professor Layton and the New World of Steam is no longer a Nintendo console exclusive

The game will also be released on PC and PS5.

LEVEL-5 studio has announced that Professor Layton and the New World of Steam will be released not only on the previously announced Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, but also on PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam). The release is scheduled for the end of this year.

The company's CEO, Akihiro Hino, said that the main part of the gameplay is almost complete, and the team is now focused on the visual component and the overall presentation of the project. The recording of the Japanese voice acting is already finished, and the localization for international markets is in active stage.

Special attention is also paid to the musical accompaniment. Composer Joe Hisaishi and singer Lilas Ikuta, known as a member of the duo YOASOBI, are working on the theme of the game. The developers promise to present the composition later, as it is still in production.
