Sunset Visitor Studio, known for 1000xResist, together with Black Tabby Publishing, founded by the authors of Slay the Princess, has announced a new game — the narrative adventure Prove You’re Human.
The player takes on the role of a girl named Santana, who works for a technology corporation on the verge of creating a full-fledged AGI (artificial general intelligence). Her task is to convince an artificial intelligence named Mesa that it is not human. At the same time, the heroine herself exists in two states at once: her consciousness is divided between a physical body and a digital copy.
The gameplay revolves around communicating with AI and exploring the space. The virtual world is made in 3D, while the "reality" is presented through FMV inserts with live actors. A separate element will be CAPTCHA tests, with which the player opens new areas and progresses through the plot.
The developers note that the project is inspired by classic science fiction and modern discussions about artificial intelligence. At the same time, generative AI tools were not used in the creation of the game.
Prove You’re Human continues the studio's line of comprehending current topics through an interactive format, as it was in 1000xResist. At the same time, according to creative director Remy Siu, the team is not striving for an accurate prediction of the future of technology, but for exploring what emotions and questions they evoke now.
The game page is already available on Steam, where you can add it to your wishlist, but the exact release date is still unknown.
