Actor Peter Claffey, who plays the main role in the series "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms," commented on the conflict between fandoms that erupted against the backdrop of the release of the first season of the "Game of Thrones" prequel.
Claffey admitted that he usually doesn't follow user reactions, but he came across a discussion on social media about the "rating war" between fans of different series. According to him, what is happening looks like "madness," and he would prefer that viewers simply make peace with each other.
"Breaking Bad" is one of the best series I have ever seen. And the original "Game of Thrones" is too. So I think: why don't we just praise both projects instead of trying to denigrate them?
As a reminder, the conflict began after the fifth episode of "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" briefly received a perfect 10/10 on IMDb. After that, "Breaking Bad" fans began to massively lower its rating, and in response, fans of the new show began to bombard the "Ozymandias" episode from "Breaking Bad" with ratings, which had held the maximum score for many years. Currently, both series have 9.5 on IMDb, and both fandoms have lost out.
Meanwhile, filming for the second season of "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" is already underway. The sequel will be based on George R. R. Martin's novella "The Hedge Knight" and will reveal the next chapter in the adventures of Dunk and Egg. The exact release date has not yet been revealed.
