According to SavePoint Gaming (citing Chinese media), producer and director of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Xia Xiyuan was fired amid a change in leadership at Leenzee Games. The new management allegedly decided to change the development strategy and reorient the company to supporting roles. Xiyuan opposed this course, which led to his departure.

It is reported that other members of the core team working on Wuchang also expressed disagreement with the new direction. As a result, the fate of the team remains unclear, but, according to available information, the team no longer exists in its previous form.
