Marathon has received a major update 1.0.6, which not only enhances characters and weapons, but also rewards players for less aggressive behavior towards opponents.
The main innovation is the C.A.R.R.I. (CyberAcme Runner Reinforcement Initiative) system. Players now receive special rewards for completing contracts and successfully evacuating from the map together with players from the enemy team.
These points can be exchanged for loot boxes and faction reputation sets.
The update also added new ways to rescue:
- Depleted Self Revive — a rare item that allows single players to return to battle
- Mercy Kit — allows you to pick up even an enemy player. Ruka has the item available by default.
The patch also affected the balance, strengthened the shells (Scout and Vandal), improved railguns (the charge can now be held indefinitely) and made other changes.
