Slay the Spire 2 Sees a Surge of Negative Reviews on Steam - Players Unhappy with Update

Not all players agree with the balance changes.

The authors of the CCG roguelike Slay the Spire 2 have released a major update, "Major Update #1" (v0.103.2). Previously, players could already test these changes — beta patches were available.

The developers have updated the economy and progression, as well as:

• Changed the difficulty of the sixth Ascension
• From now on, all relics in the store cost 25 gold less
• Relics that helped earn currency will no longer appear in the store
• Some enemies have been reworked
• The interface has been improved
• A completely redesigned leaderboard has been introduced (it will only display the results of friends, general results will appear "later")
• Work continues on visual effects and art

Slay the Spire 2 is once again experiencing a surge of negative reviews on Steam. Some players disagree with the approach to balance and believe that additional testing is required. However, this time the level of dissatisfaction is noticeably lower.
