New brands rarely have an easy start, especially for companies associated with major series. Therefore, a successful release always attracts attention. In the case of Capcom, this is even more noticeable: the publisher is known for its big franchises.
Pragmata showed a confident start on Steam. The game received 97% positive reviews after 7.9 thousand user reviews. The peak online was 67,242 people. This is a strong result for a new franchise, especially since critics had previously rated the game positively as well.
Interestingly, Pragmata started better than Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, and noticeably surpassed Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil 3 Remake.
The project is not yet up to the biggest releases like Resident Evil Requiem and Monster Hunter Wilds, but this is not the main benchmark.
Capcom has not disclosed sales, but after a long development and such a start on PC, the launch looks successful.
