There have long been high expectations surrounding the return of Tomb Raider. After the announcement of two projects, Legacy of Atlantis and Catalyst, players began watching any news more closely.
Legacy of Atlantis is positioned as a modern reimagining of the series' roots and, according to earlier statements, is aimed for release in the coming months.
Now a new clue has emerged. According to the Universo Croft account, a former lead narrative designer from Crystal Dynamics stated on LinkedIn that he had completed work on Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis. This does not confirm an imminent release, but it suggests that some key stages of development have already been completed.
But this is unofficial information. The studio has had a difficult period: in 2025, layoffs took place, although development of the new installment continued. In the end, this looks like an encouraging sign, but not proof of imminent news or a release date.
