Wolfkill's career at the company began back in 1998, when she took the position of art director at Microsoft Game Studios. Later, with the development of the Halo series after the Bungie era, she became the executive producer of Halo 4 at 343 Industries. Subsequently, Wolfkill led Halo's transmedia division, which resulted in the creation of a television series based on the franchise, and then took the post of head of Xbox's film and TV division.

In addition to Halo, Wolfkill participated in the development of successful adaptations and projects based on other major gaming brands. Among them are the Fallout series for Amazon, the Minecraft movie, as well as the upcoming Gears of War adaptation for Netflix.

In her farewell message, Wolfkill noted that she is looking with interest toward the next stage of her career: "There is a version of me outside Microsoft that I am interested in developing and revealing". She also hinted that she would soon share details about future projects.
