Behaviour Interactive, known for the asymmetrical horror game Dead by Daylight, has begun a new wave of staff layoffs.
No official statement from Behaviour Interactive had been issued at the time of publication, but according to available information, about 30 people lost their jobs.
At the same time, unconfirmed reports have appeared online about a possible increase in the use of AI to replace some developers, but the studio has not commented on these rumors.
Several employees have already confirmed the layoffs. Senior animator Jonathan Veiga said that he was also affected by the cuts. According to him, he did not expect this outcome and is now looking for a new job. Veiga's contribution to Dead by Daylight covers many of the game's key elements — from promotional videos to in-game animations, including characters such as Springtrap, Chucky, and Dracula.
Level designer Jackson Lanaus, who had worked at the studio for about 3.5 years, also spoke about his departure.
This is not the first round of layoffs at Behaviour Interactive. Around this same time in 2024, the company dismissed 95 employees, explaining it as "structural changes" and the need to follow an "updated vision".
