Now players are trying to figure out the EFT developers' intent.
In April, a major 1.0.4.5 update was released for Escape from Tarkov. As it turned out, far from all the new additions were included in the update description.
Players began finding a mysterious Tarcoin coin:
A mysterious currency that appeared in Tarkov after the start of the Contract Wars. The motto stamped on the coin refers to a certain well-known company... A rare item, valued by absolutely everyone.
Fans from the Tarkovskoe Metadvizhenie community noted:
Most often, it was found in locked marked rooms. The item can only be sold to Fence for 32 thousand rubles — other traders do not accept it.
At the moment, TarCoin is not used anywhere. Escape from Tarkov fans have a theory that the coin may in the future be used for certain events or come in handy in the online shooter EFT: Arena.
Earlier, Escape from Tarkov: Arena received a major update with a new engine version, the second season, the "Echo Belli" case, and a battle pass that includes dozens of cosmetic rewards and other bonuses. In addition, the tactical map "Factory" appeared (the old "Customs" is still available in the game).
