The host of the GTAVIOclock podcast said that his words about the release date of GTA VI had been misinterpreted after reports began spreading online about the game's allegedly definitively confirmed release.
On April 22, the GTAVIOclock hosts said they were "confident" in a November release. According to them, the likelihood of another delay is low, and they estimated their level of confidence at about 96%. At the same time, they noted that a small risk remains — about "one chance in twenty" — that certain circumstances could affect the studio's plans.
However, it was precisely this nuance that was ignored on social media, where the podcast's words began to be interpreted as confirmation of the final release date.
Later, the authors of GTAVIOclock issued a clarification, emphasizing that they were being quoted incorrectly. They explained that they had only been talking about an increase in their own confidence, not a guaranteed release. According to them, only Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar have precise information about the timeline.
