Set Leak Confirms Sadie Sink's Role in "Spider-Man: A New Day"
It's becoming increasingly difficult for Marvel to keep the main secret of the new "Spider-Man" under wraps.
A photo from the set of the film "Spider-Man: A New Day" has appeared online, once again confirming long-standing rumors about Sadie Sink's role in the upcoming solo film and the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a whole. In the photo, the actress is captured in a costume with a characteristic green and yellow color scheme, which immediately brought to mind Jean Grey.
Insider AlexfromCC stated that the image completely matches the costume descriptions he received earlier. Moreover, elements of the clothing echo short scenes from the trailer, where a cloaked figure with a hood flashed by. In one scene, the legs of a person in similar clothing, chained to a chair, are also visible. This aligns with long-standing leaks that Jean Grey will be held captive by the Department of Damage Control, and Spider-Man will rescue her.
Initially, the image was circulated with a Gemini watermark, suggesting that the original image was processed using AI and raising questions about its credibility. However, the frame was later removed due to a copyright complaint. This indirectly indicates its authenticity. In addition, the authenticity of the image was confirmed by sources from the ComicBookMovie portal.
"Spider-Man: A New Day" will be released in theaters on July 31, 2026. The film was directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, and Tom Holland once again played the main role. The cast also includes Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Sadie Sink.
