Prime Video has unveiled a new trailer for the series "Spider-Noir" starring Nicolas Cage. The project transports viewers to 1930s New York and offers an alternative take on Spider-Man through the story of Ben Reilly, a world-weary private detective with a troubled past.
Traditionally, the trailer is presented in two versions: black and white and color. The series itself will also be available in two options, allowing viewers to choose between the familiar color version and a stylized noir one.
In the trailer, Cage's character confronts the crime boss Silvermane, played by Brendan Gleeson. According to the plot, he becomes the target of several assassination attempts, and the investigation draws Spider-Man into a large-scale conspiracy directly related to his past.
In addition to Cage and Gleeson, the cast includes Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, and Jack Huston. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television, with the first episodes directed by Harry Bradbeer. Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot, who previously worked on "The Punisher" series, serve as showrunners.
The premiere of "Spider-Noir" will take place on May 25 on MGM+, and all eight episodes will be released on Prime Video on May 27.
