Steam Controller price and review leaked. Valve prepares to announce the cost of Steam Machine and other devices - media

It seems that Valve's new device will be more expensive than a standard DualSense gamepad.

Recently, the YouTube channel Techy talk accidentally published a review of the Steam Controller ahead of time. The video was quickly removed, but enthusiasts managed to save a copy.

Valve itself has not yet announced when the new gamepad will go on sale. However, thanks to this leak, players already know that the Steam Controller is a premium device, it is more expensive than a regular DualSense – it will cost 99 dollars. However, it is still cheaper than the DualSense Edge and Xbox Elite Series 2, which cost 199 dollars.

The Steam Controller will get a pair of sticks and two touchpads located underneath them.

TMR (with "tunnel magnetoresistance") sticks are installed – magnetic sensor technology is used, which provides higher accuracy and reliability.

According to sources from Insider Gaming, Valve is "getting closer to confirming all the details" about the Steam Controller, Steam Machine, and other devices. They said that the company is currently negotiating the price and whether the device creators are willing to incur losses, at least in the short term. At the moment, it is still unclear what decision has been made, but sources believe that the time for announcing the release date of the devices is "approaching".
