The first episode of Berserk: The Dark Age, a fan adaptation of Kentaro Miura's "Berserk" manga by ARCHE Animations studio, has been released on YouTube. The project is conceived as an unofficial continuation of the 1997 anime, preserving the original visual style and atmosphere. The first episode is 28 minutes long and opens the Black Swordsman arc; it can be watched with official Russian subtitles.

The release date for the next episode has not yet been revealed. Project manager Andrew Annetts left a message under the episode, thanking viewers for their support and expressing hope that the next episode could be released sooner:

It's always great to see something we've all worked so hard on finally come together. I lost more than one night putting all the sound effects together, but art requires sacrifice. Especially when you're pulling the roles of sound designer and project manager at the same time. Thank you all for your continued support! We hope to release the next episode sooner.

The Dark Age is a completely non-commercial work, created by fans for fans. The team does not have rights to the original or official approval from the copyright holders, so the creators immediately abandoned the commercial model. This way, they hope to reduce the risk of conflicts that other fan projects for "Berserk" have already faced.
