Arc Raiders to become more technologically advanced - Sony shows PSSR update for PS5 Pro
The popular extraction game will receive an additional technical update on Sony's console.
Sony announced that update 1.26 for Arc Raiders will be released on PlayStation 5 Pro on April 28. Players will be able to activate the new version of the PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) upscaling technology.
The new version is expected to offer a sharper and more stable image on PS5 Pro:
This machine learning-based upscaling technology analyzes the game image pixel by pixel to reconstruct a sharper and higher-quality picture. The updated PSSR brings a number of noticeable improvements that PS5 Pro players will feel immediately – especially in detail-rich and performance-demanding locations that Arc Raiders is known for.
Sony noted that the reconstruction of moving objects has been improved:
The updated PSSR handles moving geometry significantly more accurately compared to traditional upscaling methods. Whether it's vegetation swaying in the wind or ARC drones rapidly crossing the screen, fine details are better preserved in motion.
Sony also stated that the new PSSR technology “required minimal content rework” and “performed well” in all complex scenes of Arc Raiders – from open spaces to intense firefights involving dynamic lighting.

The Riven Tides update for Arc Raiders is expected to be released on April 28, 2026. The game will feature a new map that Embark Studios has been teasing in recent weeks, additional items, a huge ARC Turbine robot, an event, and other new features.
