The third part of the Final Fantasy 7 remake will be a spectacular culmination of the entire trilogy, promises Square Enix
The game does not yet have a release date; developers previously stated that work on the project is progressing at a good pace.
Naoki Hamaguchi, development director for the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy, shared new details about the approach to creating the final part of the project. In an interview with ComicBook, he spoke about the key philosophy underlying the entire trilogy.
According to Hamaguchi, the team initially aimed not to repeat the same experience, but to consistently expand the scale of gameplay with each new game. The first part – Final Fantasy VII Remake – focused on in-depth development of the story and characters, while Final Fantasy VII Rebirth took a step forward, offering a more expansive world and open-world elements.
The third part will not just be the end of the story, but the culmination of the entire trilogy. The developers aim to create the most ambitious and cohesive gaming experience possible, combining all the ideas laid out in previous games.
At this moment, I cannot share specific details. I can only say that development is on schedule and on time. We are confident that we can confidently release a game that will be the culmination of the trilogy. We know that many fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement, and preparations for it are in full swing. Please wait a little longer.
